In February, I had the incredible opportunity to join MoZuluArt as a special guest on their tour through the stunning region of Tyrol in Austria. It was a celebration of music, history, and heartfelt moments as we performed in three beautiful cities: Innsbruck, Kufstein, and Reutte.

Our first stop was on the 26th of February at the iconic Treibhaus in Innsbruck. The energy in the room was electrifying, with a sold-out crowd that embraced every note. Innsbruck’s charm and the warmth of the audience made for a magical evening.

The following day, we took the stage at Kulturquartier in Kufstein for a special benefit concert for the project Brillos in Bolivia. This event supported children and families in Bolivia, adding a deeper meaning to our performance.

Music has a unique way of connecting people across continents
Being part of something that reaches beyond the stage, touching lives and offering hope, was truly humbling.
These performances were more than just concerts. They were a celebration of 20 years of MoZuluArt. It all started with a simple yet powerful idea from Ramadu, the lead singer of Insingizi: “Let’s do something with Mozart.” That spark led to a unique blend of traditional Southern African vocal harmonies by the magnificent trio Ramadu, Vusa and Blessings and classical music, with Roland Guggenbichler adding his masterful piano accompaniment. Over the years, this collaboration has grown, earning international recognition, including a gold award for Insingizi’s “Voices of Southern Africa,” which sold over 250,000 copies in the USA alone.
For me, joining MoZuluArt feels like stepping into a rich, ongoing story: one of friendship, creativity and musical fusion. Having known these talented artists for decades, there’s always a sense of familiarity and joy when we share the stage. It’s more than just performing; it’s about connecting with the music and the people we play for.

The sold-out audiences, the warm receptions, and the powerful purpose behind the Kufstein concert made this short tour unforgettable. As I look back, I’m reminded once again of the magic that happens when cultures and sounds intertwine, creating something both timeless and impactful.

Here’s to more music, more moments and more journeys.
